About this site
Chileno Bay sits on the Corridor coastline between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, in Baja California Sur along the Sea of Cortez. The bay is a protected cove backed by a public beach, with rocky points at either end where the shoreline meets open water. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 18.2 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Eagle rays, jacks and amberjacks, octopus, reef sharks, and sea turtles are all found on the reef, and divers have also reported angelfish, clownfish, mobula rays, nurse sharks, parrotfish, pufferfish, snapper, and surgeonfish around the bay.
