Coral Cove

Coral Cove is a reef dive site in the Puerto Galera area of the Philippines, served from the Sabang Beach area, and listed as site number 23 among the local dive sites. The reef features a sloping section that ends in a small wall at around 20 m, with the wall continuing along the reef for a considerable distance, broken by overhangs and adjacent sandy patches. Depths run from 10 m to roughly 24–26 m.

The site is built for macro photography, with the slope holding nudibranchs, whip coral, sea fans, puffer fish, and cuttlefish. The wall and its overhangs shelter blue and black ribbon eels, juvenile emperor fish, pipefish, orangutan crabs in bubble coral, flamboyant cuttlefish, and frogfish. Banded sea snakes are common throughout the site, bluespotted stingrays rest on the adjacent sandy bottom, and thorny seahorses can be found hiding in the rubble at greater depth. Pygmy seahorses are also reported here. Water temperature sits between 27.8 and 28.9°C year-round.

Current at Coral Cove is mild to variable, making conditions generally manageable. The site suits Open Water divers through to Advanced, though it is rated intermediate given the depth and the attention to detail that macro diving demands. It is diveable year-round, subject to prevailing conditions.
