About this site
Mabul Island sits off the southeastern coast of Sabah, Borneo, close to Sipadan and within the same stretch of the Celebes Sea known for its house reef and muck diving sites. Coral Reef Garden lies along Mabul's fringing reef, reached by short boat rides from the island's dive resorts. Divers here have reported a range of nudibranchs, including Anna's Chromodoris, Coi's Goniobranchus, Diana's Chromodoris, Willan's Chromodoris, and both dusky and lined Nembrotha, alongside sightings of crocodile flathead and Pacific trumpetfish.
