About this site
Mabul Island sits off the southeastern coast of Sabah in Malaysian Borneo, close to Sipadan and within the Celebes Sea. The island is known chiefly as a muck diving base, with sandy slopes and jetty structures around its shoreline used by nearby dive operators. Ribbon Valley 2 is one of the named sites along this coast reached by short boat rides from the island's resorts.
