About this site
Malpelo Island sits in the eastern Pacific about 500 kilometres off the Colombian mainland, a remote volcanic rock that forms the core of a Colombian fauna sanctuary and marine protected area. Sites around the island are accessible only by liveaboard after a long open-ocean crossing from Buenaventura.
