About this site
Layang Layang is an atoll in the South China Sea off Sarawak, roughly 300 kilometres from the Borneo coast, built around a Malaysian naval and diving outpost. D Wall refers to one of the dive sites along the atoll's steep outer drop-off, where the reef falls away into deep open water. Sites here are known for pelagic encounters, including schooling hammerhead sharks in season, along with strong currents typical of atoll wall diving. Access is limited to those staying at the island's dive resort, given its remote mid-ocean location.
