Dauin Coast

Dauin sits on the southeast coast of Negros Oriental, in the Philippines, facing the Bohol Sea near the town of Dumaguete and across the strait from Apo Island. The coastline here is lined with a series of black sand muck sites reached by small outrigger boats from the shore, with a maximum depth of around 20 metres and a rating suited to beginners. Divers exploring the sand and rubble have reported frogfish, ghost pipefish, octopus, and seahorses along this stretch, the kind of small, camouflaged creatures muck diving in this region is known for.
