About this site
A shallow dive along the breakwater separating the Espiguette beach from the exit of Port Camargue, in 3.5 to 6.5 m over sandy mud between 300 and 500 m from shore. The riprap works as an artificial reef, sheltering many conger eels between the tetrapods and blocks, with white bream, crustaceans, octopus, sea bass and gilthead. On the sand alongside the dive is a search for seahorses and cuttlefish; visibility is often very poor and there can be current.
