About this site
A steel work barge with a small deckhouse, roughly 20 m long, resting in 12 to 14 m about 2.5 km offshore between the Espiguette and the Saintes-Maries. The crane once mounted on it lies several metres away, dragged off by a trawler, and old nets remain snagged on the hull. The heavily sanded holds act as an artificial reef with dense fish life; visibility is often poor and spring or autumn are the best seasons.
