About this site
East Bay is one of the dive sites around Sipadan Island off the coast of Sabah, in the Celebes Sea near Borneo. Sipadan sits on top of an oceanic pillar rising from deep water, and its sites are reached by boat from Semporna or nearby resort islands such as Mabul and Kapalai. Divers here have reported green sea turtles, giant morays, and ocellaris anemonefish, along with common lionfish and a range of nudibranchs including Anna's Chromodoris, Willan's Chromodoris, Coi's Goniobranchus, Dusky Nembrotha, and the Blue Dragon.
