About this site
Malpelo Island sits roughly 500 kilometres off the Pacific coast of Colombia, a remote volcanic outcrop that forms the core of Malpelo Fauna and Flora Sanctuary. Dive sites around the island are only reachable by liveaboard after an extended crossing from the mainland, and the terrain is characterized by steep rocky walls, arches, and pinnacles shaped by open ocean swell.
