About this site
El Eden Cenote sits inland on the Yucatan Peninsula in Quintana Roo, part of the extensive freshwater cenote system that riddles this limestone region. Like other cenotes in the area, it is fed by the underground rivers that run through the Yucatan's karst bedrock, and access is typically arranged through operators based in the nearby Riviera Maya towns. It reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it approachable for those new to cenote diving.
