About this site
El Rincon lies off El Hierro, the westernmost and smallest of the Canary Islands, in Spain's Atlantic waters southwest of Tenerife. The island's volcanic coastline drops steeply into deep water, and its dive sites are typically reached by boat from the small ports along the south and west shores. El Rincon is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 20 metres. Divers have reported a good range of reef fish here, including grouper, Atlantic damselfish, Canary damsel, Eastern Atlantic trumpetfish, European parrotfish, Macaronesian toby, ornate wrasse, and planehead filefish.
