About this site
Funchu Zaki (フンチュ崎) is a boat-dive reef off Yoron Island in Kagoshima Prefecture, about 5 minutes from Tomori harbour, with weak to moderate current, at a headland known locally for shore fishing. Crevasses of various sizes and sand patches make up the site; broadclub cuttlefish and green turtles are resident, and juvenile bicolour parrotfish and emperor angelfish shelter in the crevasses along with anemonefish, juvenile wrasse and fusiliers.
