About this site
Goby Land lies in the Sipadan-Kapalai area off the coast of Sabah in Malaysian Borneo, a region better known for the sheer wall diving around Sipadan island and the muck and sand slope diving found around Kapalai and Mabul nearby. This part of the Celebes Sea sits within the Coral Triangle, and the sandy or rubble slopes typical of the Kapalai side are the kind of habitat associated with small bottom-dwelling fish such as gobies and shrimp associations. Boats to sites in this area typically run out of Semporna or the resorts on Mabul and Kapalai.
