About this site
Sandy Eel Reef sits off Sipadan Island in Sabah, part of the Malaysian side of Borneo, in the Celebes Sea. The site takes its name from the garden eel colonies that live in the sandy patches near the reef, an area often used as a check dive or second dive for divers visiting the island's more current-swept sites.
