About this site
Haeawase (ハエアワセ) is a boat-dive site 10 minutes out from Tago, Nishiizu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 30 m, suitable from beginner level, with current that is sometimes strong. It is a hidden reef west of Yaizu Ne, made up of several large rocks running north to south between about 13 m and 30 m. Sea fans and coral cover the rocks, and good water flow brings pelagics.
