About this site
Tago Oki no Shima (沖ノ島) is a boat-dive site 10 minutes out from Tago, Nishiizu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, about 1 km south of Tagoshima island and opened in May 2004. A huge pinnacle about 70 m by 130 m rises from 40 m, with its top at 3–8 m. Soft and hard coral surround the reef, strong water flow brings everything from large pelagics to small reef fish, and a crevasse some 40 m long splits the reef from east to west.
