About this site
Yaizu Ne (ヤイズ根) is a boat-dive site 10 minutes out from Tago, Nishiizu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 35 m, suitable from beginner level, with current that is sometimes strong. It is a dramatic reef where, from early autumn to around January, a school of 30–40 large spangled emperor takes up residence and is seen on almost every dive.
