About this site
Futone (フトネ) is a boat-dive site 10 minutes out from Tago, Nishiizu, on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka, with a maximum depth of 35 m, intermediate and above, with strong current. The reef rises from 40 m and carries abundant soft coral, sea fans and hard coral. Large pelagics pass through, and it is regarded as the leading site in western Izu for both terrain and big fish.
