About this site
The Hiyoshi Maru (日吉丸) is a large wreck lying on sand ten minutes by boat from Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, with a maximum depth of 22 m and an average around 18 m. Red spiny lobster and sweepers shelter in the shadow of the hull, and squirrelfish, spotted knifejaw and garden eels are seen around it. There is little current and the site is suitable from beginner level.
