About this site
The Ebi Maru (エビ丸) is a wreck sitting on a sandy-mud bottom ten minutes by boat from Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, with a maximum depth of 30 m and an average around 22 m. Its depth has kept the wreck well preserved, though visibility is often poor. Schools of juvenile amberjack and young grey reef sharks are sometimes found, along with red spiny lobster, bluestripe snapper and soldierfish; there is little current and the site suits intermediate divers and above.
