About this site
Suzaki (洲崎) is a very shallow coral-reef slope inside the bay at Chichijima in the Ogasawara Islands, Tokyo, ten minutes by boat, with a maximum depth of 18 m and an average around 8 m. The gentle gradient makes it well suited to unhurried photography, with striped large-eye bream, yellowfin goatfish, sergeant majors and damselfish on the reef. There is little current and the site is suitable from beginner level.
