About this site
Honbae (ホンバエ) is a main mooring-buoy site at Tatsukushi in Tosashimizu, Kochi Prefecture, suitable from novice level. It is the only site in Tatsukushi that exceeds 30 m, with the top of the reef at 7 m and a maximum depth of 30 m. Bold topography, schools of reef and pelagic fish and, in winter, a run of rare nudibranchs make it an all-round site. The reef is extensive, and changing course to north, south, east or west turns it into a different dive.
