About this site
The Japanese Wreck lies in the waters off Puerto Galera on Mindoro's northern coast, in the same stretch that includes Sabang and Small La Laguna, reached by short boat rides from the shore resorts across the Verde Island Passage from Batangas. It reaches a maximum depth of around 42 metres and is rated a technical dive on a wreck bottom. Divers have reported sweetlips, trevally, and even thresher sharks around the site.
