About this site

Karang Sari is a dive site along the coast of Nusa Penida, the island southeast of Bali across the Badung Strait, typically reached by boat from Nusa Penida or Sanur. It's a reef dive to about 18 metres, rated intermediate, with light current and good visibility. Eagle rays, manta rays, napoleon wrasse, frogfish, stonefish, nudibranchs, and trevally are all regularly seen here, and divers have also reported turtles, octopus, seahorses, ghost pipefish, bumphead parrotfish, and even mola mola and hammerhead sharks passing through. Waves have been noted as a hazard at times, so conditions on the surface are worth checking before entry.
