About this site
Klathe Par is a reef dive site off the northeastern coast of Sri Lanka, in the vicinity of Trincomalee district, an area known for its natural harbor and stretches of coastline along the Bay of Bengal. Dive operations in this part of Sri Lanka typically run out of Trincomalee town. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 38 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Barracuda are common over the reef, and divers have also reported eagle rays, grouper, parrotfish, and trevally here.
