About this site
Koh Tao is a dive site in the Gulf of Thailand, reached by boat and suited to beginners and first-time divers with no prior certification or experience required. Dives are conducted from a boat, with two dives made at different parts of the site in a single trip.
The reef reaches a maximum depth of 10 m, with a bottom type of reef and good visibility. The site offers coral reef terrain with enough relief to keep two separate dives interesting.
The site holds tropical fish, anemonefish, parrotfish, and reef fish, and whale sharks are regular visitors, making sightings a genuine possibility on any given dive. The best diving season runs from February through October.

The site is well suited to complete beginners, including children aged 10 and up, as depths are shallow and conditions are manageable for those new to scuba diving.
