Koko Craters

Koko Craters sits on the southeast coast of Oahu near Hanauma Bay, a volcanic tuff cone that lends its name to dive sites along the adjacent shoreline. This stretch of coast is known for lava rock formations extending into the Pacific, with boat access typically arranged from nearby Honolulu or Hawaii Kai. The dive here runs over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of around 11.6 metres, rated beginner, with great visibility. Octopus are a regular sight, and divers have also reported pufferfish and sea turtles along the reef, though a strong current has been noted by at least one source and is worth keeping in mind.
