About this site
Kuroshima Minami Rippyo Mae (黒島南立標前) is a reef site around the navigation beacon on the south side of Kuro Island in the Kerama Islands, Okinawa, with a maximum depth of 25 m. The coral heads by the beacon are shallow, with the surrounding bottom averaging 10 to 15 m, and porites, sea fans and gorgonians are everywhere. Manta rays are often seen in summer, but current is moderate and frequently strong; intermediate and above.
