About this site
La Paz offers calm, clear waters with vibrant marine life in the Gulf of California. Expect encounters with playful sea lions, schools of tropical fish, and occasional whale sharks. The sandy bottom slopes gently, dotted with rocky reefs and patches of coral. Visibility often exceeds 15 meters, with warm water temperatures year-round. Dive near seamounts where strong currents attract large pelagics. Night dives reveal bioluminescent displays and octopus hunting. The protected bay provides sheltered conditions, ideal for beginners and photographers. Manta rays glide past during winter months.
