About this site

Los Morros lies along the coast of Baja California Sur, in the Cape region near the tip of the peninsula where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. The rocky formations that give the site its name mark this stretch of coastline, typically reached by boat from the towns near Cabo San Lucas or San Jose del Cabo. The reef bottom here tops out around 16.8 metres and is rated an intermediate dive, with divers reporting strong currents running through the area. Sightings reported at the site are wide ranging, including bull sharks, hammerheads, reef sharks, whale sharks, manta and mobula rays, sea turtles, and schools of jack, snapper, trevally, and grouper, alongside smaller reef residents like butterflyfish, parrotfish, pufferfish, and garden eels.
