About this site
Maagiri North sits within Lhaviyani Atoll, a coral atoll in the northern Maldives reached by boat from resorts and liveaboards operating in that area. Sites in this atoll are typically built around thila and reef formations rising from the atoll floor. This particular reef reaches a maximum depth of around 15 metres, keeping it within range of most recreational divers exploring the atoll. Divers here have reported bluefin trevally, checkerboard wrasse, Clark's anemonefish, Meyer's butterflyfish, powder blue tang, tawny hermit crabs, threadfin butterflyfish, and zigzag wrasse along the reef.
