About this site
Mai Thon, also known as Coral Island, lies off the southeast coast of Phuket in the Andaman Sea, a short boat ride from Chalong Pier. The reef here tops out at a maximum depth of around 12 metres and is rated as a beginner dive, making it a common stop for day trips out of Phuket combined with other nearby sites. Divers have also reported pipefish along the reef.
