About this site
Plavnik is a small, sparsely inhabited island in the Kvarner Gulf off the coast of Primorje-Gorski Kotar county in Croatia, lying between the larger islands of Krk and Cres. Mali Plavnik is the smaller islet just off Plavnik's own shore, and dive sites in this stretch of the Kvarner are typically reached by boat from Krk or Cres. The site here reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported a cave feature at the site, and scorpionfish have also been spotted here.
