About this site
Malimbu Slope lies along the northwest coast of Lombok, near the Malimbu headland on the road between Senggigi and the port at Bangsal that serves the Gili Islands. This stretch of coastline faces the Lombok Strait, with steep hillsides above the shoreline dropping into the sea. Divers here have reported green sea turtles and ribbon eels along the slope, along with zebra lionfish, blackfin sweetlips, banded and collector sea urchins, and patches of lace coral on the terrain.
