About this site
The Medes Islands are a small archipelago off L'Estartit on Spain's Costa Brava, in the Girona province of Catalonia. The islets and surrounding waters form a protected marine reserve, and diving in the area is typically run as boat trips out of L'Estartit itself. Sites around the islands reach a maximum depth of about 21 metres, with light current, and are rated as advanced dives. Divers here have reported batfish, damselfish, and wrasse among the reef life.
