Moofushi Kandu

Moofushi Kandu is a channel dive cutting through the reef of Ari Atoll in the Maldives, connecting the atoll's inner lagoon with the open sea. Kandu sites like this one work with the tidal flow through the channel, drawing in eagle rays, manta rays, and wrasse, along with reef fish along the channel walls. The dive reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated intermediate. Current is the defining feature of this type of dive, and divers usually plan the entry and drift around the tidal direction.
