About this site
Nanako no Dabo (ナナコのダボ) is a boat dive at Mikiura in Owase on the Kii Peninsula coast of Mie, three minutes from the harbour, with a maximum depth of 20 m and an average around 14 m. Like Obore it sits inside the bay with stable conditions, and its feature is the large soft coral typical of Mikiura over white sand. Seasonal tropical strays, crustaceans and sharks such as Japanese bullhead shark, angel shark and guitarfish are seen, with the occasional yellowtail. No current, suitable from beginner level.
