North Islet - La Banana

North Islet at Wolf Island sits in the far northern reaches of the Galapagos archipelago, one of the remote volcanic outposts reached mainly by liveaboard vessels making the long crossing from the central islands. The waters around Wolf Island are known for pelagic action, with divers commonly reporting hammerhead schools, silky and Galapagos sharks, and strong currents typical of this part of the archipelago. Dive depths in the area generally range from around 15 to 30 metres, with descents often made along rocky walls and pinnacles. Because of the current and open-ocean exposure, sites around Wolf Island are generally considered suitable for experienced divers.
