The Anchorage

Wolf Island sits in the far north of the Galapagos archipelago, a remote volcanic outcrop well offshore from the main islands and reachable mainly by liveaboard dive vessels on extended itineraries. The Anchorage refers to a sheltered spot along the island's coast where boats can tuck in given the exposed open-ocean conditions typical of this part of the Galapagos. Access to this area generally requires a multi-day crossing from ports such as Puerto Ayora or Santa Cruz. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated an intermediate dive.
