About this site
O no Hama (王の浜) is a shore-entry site on Izu Oshima in the Izu Islands, Tokyo, covering an area too large to circle in a single dive. Overhanging reefs are the main feature, and armfuls of table coral, unusual for Oshima, sit on a ridge-like reef; maximum depth 25 m, average around 10 m, suitable from beginner level, with no trouble from current as long as divers do not go too far offshore. The entry and exit point is very slippery, and summer diving hours and night dives may be subject to change.
