About this site
Painted Walls lies among the granite formations of the British Virgin Islands, part of the Indians and Norman Island dive area near Tortola. The site takes its name from the colorful sponges, algae, and encrusting growth covering its rock walls and swim-throughs. It is a reef dive reaching a maximum depth of around 12 metres, rated a beginner site, making it accessible for divers exploring the crevices and gullies formed by the granite boulders.
