Paso Del Cedral

Paso Del Cedral is a reef site along the west side of Cozumel, part of the Mesoamerican Reef system off the coast of Quintana Roo. It runs as a drift dive with coral ridges and swim-throughs roughly parallel to shore, with a maximum depth of about 18 metres. Visibility here is typically great, though the current is often strong, and the site is rated intermediate rather than a beginner drift. Nurse sharks, sea turtles, and snapper are regular sightings, and divers have also reported barracuda, eagle rays, lobster, moray eels, nudibranchs, reef sharks, and stingrays along the terrain. It remains a popular stop for boats working the southern reef sites off Cozumel.
