About this site
Pavona Clavus sits within the outer ribbon reef systems off far north Queensland, roughly between Cairns and Lizard Island, along the continental shelf edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Sites in this stretch are generally reached by liveaboard or day boat running out of Cairns or Port Douglas. Divers here have reported banana nudibranchs, broadclub cuttlefish, and scissortail sergeants moving along the reef.
