About this site

Ras Katy sits on the Sinai coast near Sharm El Sheikh, at the southern tip of the Sharm area facing the Red Sea, and is one of several shore-accessible points along this stretch near Naama Bay where the reef drops off from a shallow shelf close to the beach. It is a reef wall dive to a maximum depth of around 18 metres, rated a beginner site with light current. Divers here have reported anthias, bannerfish, butterflyfish, clownfish, crocodilefish, eagle rays, fusiliers, glassfish, lionfish, manta rays, humphead wrasse, scorpionfish, stingrays, triggerfish, and tuna moving along the reef.
