About this site
Rock Point West is one of the dive sites along the coast of Apo Island, a small volcanic island off Dauin in Negros Oriental, in the Visayas region of the Philippines. The island sits within a long-established marine sanctuary and is reached by boat from the mainland town of Dauin or from Dumaguete. The site sits over a reef bottom with light current, reaching a maximum depth of around 30 metres, and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported frogfish, grouper, nudibranchs, octopus, sea turtles, and sweetlips here, along with occasional sea snakes.
