About this site

San Miguel is a muck diving site along the coastline of Dauin, on the southeastern coast of Negros Oriental facing the Bohol Sea. This stretch of Negros is known for its dark volcanic sand shoreline, and dive operators based around Dauin run boats out to numerous named sites along it, San Miguel among them. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Its sandy bottom holds frogfish, harlequin shrimp, and nudibranchs, and divers have also reported ghost pipefish, hairy frogfish, pipefish, and scorpionfish here. It sits within the broader Dauin coastal area that has become a hub for muck diving in the Visayas region.
