About this site
San Toribio lies along the Caribbean coastline of Quintana Roo, in the waters off Cancun on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, over a reef bottom typical of the Mesoamerican Reef system. It reaches a maximum depth of about 17.7 metres and is rated an intermediate dive, reached by short boat trips from the Cancun hotel zone or nearby marinas. Nurse sharks are a regular sighting on this reef, and divers have also reported eagle rays, grouper, moray eels, sea turtles, and triggerfish here.
