About this site
Gato Island sits off the northern coast of Cebu in the Visayas region of the Philippines, a small islet reached by boat from the Malapascua area. The island is known for its swim-through caverns and tunnels cut into limestone, part of a marine sanctuary protected from fishing. Local dive operators run trips out to it as a day excursion combined with other sites near Malapascua.
